Leinsweiler Hof

Hotel and Hospitality Branding

About the project

leinsweiler hof is a german premium hotel and hide away with a fanstastic view. It is located in rhineland palatina in the middle of vineyards and is an institution in the region. The historical building is well known in the region and has a lot of heritage to it.

Challenge

The hotel recently got a new owner and wanted to reposition and rebrand their hotel to become more attractive to a younger audience and gain more market shares. The challenge was to create something new that still maintains the heritage and doesn’t scare the current target audience.

Outcome

We archieved a premium looking, modern branding that pays tribute to the heritage of the house. The newly established tagline and bespoke logo visualize the »arrival« at hotel on every touchpoint. The launch was a full success, with the current audience loving the rebrand and the hotel becoming more attractive to younger generations.

Process

Brand Strategy
In the brand strategy meeting we defined the goals, the vision of the house and it’s audience. It was clear that we needed to be very careful to find the balance between attracting a younger audience but also not scare the current one.

Brand Design
Hero of the new brand design is the custom logotype. It pays tribute to the characteristics of their old one, but translates them into a more modern, sophisticated logo.

The monogram is constructed out of the l and h and is shaped like their iconic arched gate. The conceptual idea was to evoke the feeling of arriving at the hotel with every contact someone has with the new brand.

The newly created tagline „Freiraum für dich“ (space for you) conveys their mission to help their guests to relax, calm down and unwind in the leading hide away in the region.

With the custom typeface every character transforms into a brand ambassador – combined with premium printed products the premium aspiration of the house gets communicated on every touchpoint the guests have with the brand.

Norman’s creative vision and professional approach won us over immediately. Now we identify with the logo across the board. We were particularly impressed by the conceptual approach, the individual typeface design and the quick and customized solutions.
